Principal’s Welcome

Welcome! Trinity Catholic College Goulburn is a co-educational Catholic school, offering students in Years 7-12 a contemporary, vibrant and holistic education.

Trinity Catholic College is situated on a magnificent campus and offers young men and women an ideal place to learn and grow. Our students are supported by and through a House System and Pastoral Program which encourages them to develop their leadership skills and places emphasis on their well-being, positive interactions, resilience and goals. Each homeroom fosters a strong sense of welcome and well-being and promotes inclusivity, across year groups. The aim of the homeroom teacher is to know his or her students so as to develop a sense of belonging through relational trust and mutual respect.

Our learning and training facilities are state-of-the-art, with purposeful learning spaces, six ovals, a pool with a diving facility, gymnasium, dance and drama studios in addition to a farm. We endeavour to assist our young men and women to engage in all areas of the curriculum and we offer a multitude of sports and co-curricula activities. Our aspiration is to prepare our students with the skills, knowledge and understandings to meet the ever-increasing challenges of further learning and training in the workplace. We strive to create citizens of the world who are empowered by their sense of self-efficacy, articulate and attuned to the needs of others.

We promote a Catholic worldview influenced by the teaching of the Gospels that is shaped by Catholic values that promote kindness, discernment, compassion, inclusion and a social justice conscience. We aim to develop in our young men and women the ability to lead courageously in ways which encourage others to follow.

A Trinity education is robust, challenging, engaging and establishes high standards of study, conduct and dress. Our classes are informed by data and the shared philosophy that all students can learn. We offer clustered-ability classes with a definitive academic class and true mixed-ability groupings in all other classes. This coupled with opportunities for acceleration and a Support Program, we address the needs of many in our community. Our teachers engage in continuous professional learning, goal setting and observations of practice as they work with students to engage in optimal learning experiences to cater for a diverse range of learners. Together, teachers and students strive to achieve excellence and explore ways of engaging in continuous improvement of practice and scholarship.

While many of our graduates go onto tertiary study, others are able to combine their coursework with School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships. This an excellent opportunity combining the completion of the first year of apprenticeship/traineeship with the Higher School Certificate. For many, this provides a headstart in their career, as well as engaging them in their work and learning through their senior years.

I invite you and your family to join our community and work with us in partnership to invest in your child’s future. I welcome you to the College and encourage you to take a tour, meet the staff and envisage how your child can fulfil his or her potential and become a member of the Trinity community.

I look forward to seeing you at Trinity in the near future.
