Languages Other Than English (LOTE)

Trinity Catholic College offers students the opportunity to learn German. The language is taught with a communicative approach focusing on reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Students will also have the opportunity to engage with aspects of Italian culture.

Project Based Learning in German ensures that whilst learning the basics of this beautiful, global language steeped in history and culture, students also further develop their collaboration, presentation and team-working skills.

The real-world focus of our language projects enables students to envisage how they might also use their language skills in the future. Many students also find that learning a new language helps them with their understanding of the English language.
