Trinity Catholic College offers students the opportunity to learn French and German. The languages are taught with a communicative approach focusing on reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
Project Based Learning in French and German ensures that whilst learning the basics of these beautiful, global languages steeped in history and culture, students also further develop their collaboration, presentation and team-working skills.
The real-world focus of our language projects enables students to envisage how they might also use their language skills in the future. Many students also find that learning a new language actually helps them with their understanding of the English language.
The school has a wide range of resources for the teaching of French and German including:
- A well equipped learning centre
- An IT room with French software and internet access
- A wide range of educational DVDs and authentic videos
